We’re celebrating Anorexics Who Cook’s second anniversary today! This is a bitter sweet milestone in that I am impressed by my dedication to the cathartic and oftentimes challenging process of writing honestly and in raw detail about my recovery. I am proud of the way my writing and understanding of my anorexia have continued to evolve over the years and my increasing ability to communicate about the emotions that are central to the ED. At the same time I am sad that I still need this space to make sense of the recovery process – I thought things would move more quickly; I thought it would be easier to “let it go.” Wow – that naivete was so 2010. Today, in order to celebrate the hope I have for the next few years I’ll publish a list of quotes. Think of these as party favors; random trinkets I’m sharing with you in hopes that on your difficult days you’ll find one hiding in your coat pocket or under the nearest Kleenex box just waiting to bring with it a glimmer of hope.
