87/1 Success!
I had a successful day, although it wasn’t as productive as I had intended it to be! But that’s ok. Today, I have 87 days sober and 1 day abstinent, I went with my friends and brought a wonderful meeting to a really great group in Kinnelon, NJ, I did my morning OA phone meeting at 6:45 am, I got to the gym, I have a possible interview set up on Thursday in the city, and I applied for a few jobs. Even though I didn’t do everything I had hoped to do, I had a great day. And if today was a bad day, compared to the way I was feeling on my bad days when I first started counting days in my sobriety, it really wasn’t that bad, actually. My bad days in the beginning, were pretty horrific. It’s all a matter of perspective, I think. Today, the glass is half full…
Tonight I’m going to meditate for ten minutes. I found some nice meditation music on youtube that isn’t too short and isn’t too long, and I’ve started using it at night after I pray and have my tea, when I want to wind down…
