Snooki: ‘I’m Not Too Skinny, I’m Healthy’
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is firing back at critics who say she’s lost too much weight.
The reality star recently told In Touch magazine, “People are jerks. I don’t look emaciated – I look healthy!”
This isn’t the first time Snooki has had to defend her post-baby weight loss of 42 pounds. Earlier this year, she was the subject of anorexia rumors, which she shot down by saying that her new body was the result of hard work at the gym, not an eating disorder.
Normal at 96 pounds
Today, the petite star is dealing with the same criticism, even though she insists her 96-pound body is far healthier than when she weighed 146 pounds while on the cast of “Jersey Shore.”
“My arms still jiggle when I wave!” she said. “I’m 4-foot-9, which is the size of a third-grader, so weighing 96 pounds is normal for me.”
A combination of weight training with a personal trainer and hitting the gym is Snooki’s secret.
“People ask me why I’m still working out – I’ll gain the weight back if I don’t,” she explained.
‘I want a butt’
Snooki will appear on the 17th season of “Dancing With the Stars,” and in addition to a possible win, she hopes to also gain something else on the show.
“I really want a butt. I don’t have a butt,” she told ABC News Tuesday at the “DWTS” Season 17 cast reveal. “I have like a pancake butt, so I’d like a little bump.”
And as for her famous partying ways? Snooki says that, as a parent, she’s past that stage in her life.
“I hate drinking now. I’d rather be with my son!”
