Miss World Doesn’t Miss A Meal – Major ‘Miss’ Justice

It seems like we can’t turn around without seeing a beauty contestant stripped of her crown. I sometimes laugh when I watch a pageant these days, saying “I give her one day, before pictures of her dancing on a “stripper pole” and doing tequila shots off her “college roommate” start to surface.

It seems like we can’t turn around without seeing a beauty contestant stripped of her crown. I sometimes laugh when I watch a pageant these days, saying “I give her one day, before pictures of her dancing on a “stripper pole” and doing tequila shots off her “college roommate” start to surface.

It’s almost every little girls dream, to walk down that strip of stage wearing a sash and some obnoxiously bedazzled crown while doing the token wave. I used to practice that wave in front of the mirror, smiling, and then pursing my red lips together mouthing  the line “I wish nothing more than all the starving children in the world to be fed, and there to be peace on earth…and oh yes, that every little girl should be able to shave her legs and wear makeup by age 10.

However the pristine crystal clean image of beauty pageant contestants and winners has sorely been soiled thanks to TMZ, the Internet, and well…morals and values taking a turn for the worse. It seems like the title of a Beauty Queen comes attached with televised apologies, mug shots, and trips to rehab. Donald Trump’s toupee is now not the most embarrassing thing about him, but rather his very tattered Miss Universe organization.

So you can imagine my surprise when I found out yesterday that Miss World “Cynthia de la Vega” was denied her crown from continuing to sit on her head, due to….6 pounds. Excuse me? That must be 6 pounds of cocaine right? Or 6 pounds of vodka they pumped out of her stomach….NOPE…6 pounds as in god forbid…”human tissue”..as in “flesh”, as in extra “curves.”

Well officials seem to be claiming that Miss Cynthia has been consuming too many “sour grapes”, but according to her,it’s because they believe she’s been dipping them in “chocolate.”

Not so they claim – it was simply due to her being undisciplined, not dedicated, showing enough her ”lack of commitment.” Commitment to what ”oh high and mighty pageant officials”?? commitment to starving herself, throwing up her grilled chicken salads, exercising herself to the point of exhaustion? Or maybe it’s because she has a “healthy appetite for life”, and has better things to focus on than a “number on the scale”, or the “tag on the inside of her jeans”. I guess she’s not the only one who has been told to lay off the “Mexican food”, as a matter of fact American teenager “Dominique Ramirez”, who recently won “Miss San Antonio” was revoked her title due to a violation in her contract by “gaining weight.” She alleges that she was advised to quote for quote ”lay off the tacos.”

Well here is what I have to say to all of these so-called officials in charge of telling these beautiful women that they need to define their titles by how much they weigh…LAY OFF THE BULLSH*T!!! It’s a shame that nowadays you can’t throw a rock without hitting a supermodel or Hollywood actress who is majorly in need of a good meal, and some extra weight. Have we not learned anything as a society? Are we teaching our little girls and boys of tomorrow that they cannot be anybody or make anything of themselves because they don’t fit into that “very tiny box” of warped perfection?

I have had my small taste of being in the “spotlight” and that amount of pressure to be perfect, because the whole world is watching you is mind boggling. Do I believe Miss Cynthia’s allegations?…Hell yessssss!! and I also believe she has got some major balls in standing up for herself, and calling a spade a spade..or in this case a donut a donut. Perhaps pageant officials should take a second look at all the women who have listened to that council to lose a few pounds in the name of vanity, and ended up miserable, attached to a feeding tube, or 6 feet under!! You go Cynthia girl!!…Justice will Prevail!!
