Today I ran my fifth 5K of the year. The time is unimpressive and leaves much to be desired, but the race was fun. It’s a really low-key, annual event held by one of the local breweries. Proceeds go to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight program which (for free) takes WWII veterans to Washington DC to see the memorial.
The weather also left much to be desired. It’s March, but of course there was spitting snow and harsh winds, not to mention the roads are still frozen and, therefore, heavily potholed (that’s “chuckholed” for you, Jane).
Well, it’s a nasty day outside, but with a move in the not distant future there’s plenty to do around the house (or I could just read some Maya Angelou).
