Eating Disorders And Obesity

Is there a connection between eating disorders and obesity?

Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of the Denver Eating Recovery Center Ovidio Bermudez, MD, tells us about the connections between obesity in America and the instances of eating disorders. He explains that the constant emphasis on losing weight and the negative stigma of being overweight can easily set off an eating disorder in someone with certain eating-disorder-related genes. He also talks about how different cultures have different relationships with eating disorders, and how that is all changing.
