Hi Linda…your granddaughter is obviously struggling, and it’s likely not about food as much as it’s about something emotional. If you have custody, or can have her parents take her, she should see a doctor and also a therapist to discuss what is going on. She should be checked for any medical condition that could be causing her to have an increased appetite. You could begin by talking to your g-daughter, and asking her how she is feeling. Please get her some help!
