Is It Possible To Be Bulimic And Stop Losing Weight?

If You Are Continuing To
janurse427 – 06/05/2010 – 07:48

If you are continuing to engage in the cycle of bingeing/purging that represents bulimia, your weight is not likely to ‘settle’ at a certain point. You are very likely going to see some wide shifts, up and down with your weight due to the chaotic eating patterns. Over time, you are also very likely to end up at a much higher weight as your ‘set point’, because you are altering your metabolism.
Being Bulimic can never be a part of a normal life, or a healthy life. Please remember that this is about much more than behaviors regarding food. There are underlying emotional components that must be addressed before you can truly begin move away from the bulimic behaviors, and develop new, more healthy skills. Please check into getting professional help if you are not already doing so.
