UNC Offering Free Online Group Therapy For ED

Free bulimia treatment from home? You have no excuse not to check into this.
The University of North Carolina’s Eating Disorders Program is conducting a research study to treat bulimia.
Eligible patients will receive group therapy specifically designed to reduce binge eating episodes and purging at no cost. Patients will receive 16 sessions of group therapy and will participate in either face or online therapy with a moderated chat group.

You must be at least 18 years old and have a home computer with internet access to participate.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Bulimia Nervosa (CBT4BN) is a research program funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and conducted by the UNC Eating Disorders Program and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment and the gold-standard for treating bulimia nervosa. This study compares two forms of CBT: face-to-face group therapy and online group therapy via www.cbt4bn.unc.edu.
