Anorexia In Children
Over the past number of years, there have been alarming reports of children that are affected by Anorexia. As you may have already guessed, it is the females that are greatly affected. In younger children, the weight loss is even more noticeable than in older children. The body skeleton is much more pronounced and you will more than likely be able to see almost every single bone in the child’s body. In a child, it only takes about a weight loss percent of about sixteen percent for it to be noticeable. This is a potentially fatal problem if it continues to go unnoticed and untreated. There could also be a delay in a child’s growth, and a delay in when puberty may start. For females, a noticeable delay in the development of breast can occur. This is something that should not be taken likely and help should be sought after immediately.
