Khloe Kardashian: ‘You Have To Love Yourself First’

With a fan base and a following that are obsessed with her body, Khloe Kardashian has every reason to feel self-conscious and critical of her figure.

Yet in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan Body, the 30-year-old television personality said she doesn’t pay much attention to the opinions of others.

“Now on my Instagram page people comment saying ‘I liked you better when you were bigger’ and I think, ‘Thank God I don’t live my life for other people because I’d be in a constant tug of war,” she said in the interview.

After a separation from husband Lamar Odom, Khloe said she channeled her frustrations into working out – the gym is the only place she could find refuge from the paparazzi.

“I could put music on and dance around with my girlfriends and be silly.”

‘I have never felt fat’

Kardashian’s weight has been a topic of public discussion for years – but Khloe claims she has never felt overweight. Yet looking at pictures of herself from the past made her realize “how unhealthy” she was.

“In the moment I felt so beautiful and I remember walking down red carpets with my makeup done in a little sparkly dress and I thought I was so cute. I had all this confidence.”

While Khloe isn’t against plastic surgery (although she doesn’t want it herself), she said it’s important to maintain health and accomplish changes you want to make to your body on your own.

“You have to love yourself first because no surgery is going to change your heart.”
