What Is Night Eating Syndrome
Night Eating Syndrome is a relatively new eating disorder that is characterized by a lack of appetite in the morning time, and excessive eating at evening times. A person who suffers from this eating disorder usually eats more than 50% of his daily food after eight o’clock in the evening, and that is why he still feels full during the day time. Studies show that this syndrome is common with people who are obese, or people who are 100 pounds or more overweight.
The person who is suffering from this eating disorder also suffers from insomnia and agitation as a result of this disorder, which is why this syndrome is often considered a mood or a sleep syndrome as well.
Some of the symptoms that show that a person has this eating disorder are the following:
1- No breakfast.
2- Great amounts of food after dinner.
3- Tension, anxiousness, anger, and guilt while eating.
4- Unstable sleep with eating in between.
