Amazing Opportunity To Share Your Story!!
A major national magazine is looking for a young woman [age 18-21, but 16 and 17 okay with parental consent] who is willing to share her experience about how a friend (or group of friends) accelerated her disordered eating behaviors or played a role in making her burgeoning eating disorder worse.
This is an AMAZING opportunity to share your experience in a larger story about the social contagion factor of eating disorders and help thousands of young women around the country who may find themselves drawn into an ED because of friends.
If you have a story that might be a fit, please contact Marina, the writer of the story, as soon as possible at [email protected]. To be considered, you must include a brief account of how your friend(s) influenced your ED or disordered eating behaviors, how bad the situation got, and how you ultimately sought help. Please don’t forget to list your full name, age & birth date, city/state (must live in the U.S.), and year in school (high school or college), and attach a recent photo of yourself. Thank you!
I have worked with this reporter before, and she is very pro-recovery. She works diligently to follow the National Eating Disorders Association guidelines for sharing your story.
Thanks!
