Dr. Koch obtained both his undergraduate degree and medical degree at the University of South Alabama. He completed his Internship and Residency in Adult Psychiatry as well as his Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. During his last year there, he served as the Chief Fellow for the division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Koch is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry as well as in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Currently, he continues to serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University, has served as the Assistant Residency Training Director for the Department of Psychiatry, and continues to co-lead a year-long course in impulse control disorders for the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellows. He is a both a founding member and executive board member of the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee. His areas of interest include eating disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
