Survey Says: Sunday Night Is Comfort Food O’Clock

The biggest dieting danger zone is Sunday nights at 7 p.m., according to recent survey results from Forza — a company that makes raspberry ketone diet supplements.

About half of the participants questioned in the survey revealed that the period between 7 and 10 p.m. was the time they were most likely to break out the comfort foods, like chips and cookies.

Unsurprisingly, weekends were shown to be the time when we indulge the most, with Sunday also being ranked as the top “non-diet” day.

Overdoing it at dinner

Respondents said that dinner was the meal they were most likely to indulge in, followed by lunch and breakfast.

More than one-third of the participants who said they didn’t eat breakfast also said that they tended to eat more later. Non-breakfast eaters also said they turned to “sinful” foods more often than people who ate the first meal of the day.

Afternoon lull also associated with overeating

The period between 3 and 5 p.m. was the second most popular “indulging” time, with 28 percent of respondents saying they tended to eat the most during this window. Mondays, in particular, were shown to be the most popular day for snack eating, presumably because it’s a day many people return to the drudgery of work.

“It is useful for everyone to know the exact times of those danger spots so that they can eat more sensibly on those days,” said Forza chief executive Lee Smith.
