1 package extra lean ground turkey (extra lean is usually marked 99/1, meaning 99% fat free)
1 package chicken taco seasoning
1/3 cup water
1. Mix turkey, egg and seasoning together in a medium-sized bowl. While it sounds gross I recommend using your hands to do the mixing.
2. Heat frying pan on medium-high heat; spray with cooking spray or add a small amount of oil.
3. Add meatballs (about 10 at a time), let cook, turning occasionally to achieve an even golden color.
4. Once all meatballs are cooked put them all back into the pan with the water. Cover and let cook for another 5 minutes, or until water has evaporated.
I just made a batch of these, they smell good and were very simply to make. They’re low in fat and starch-free, so they may actually be edible for me. This recipe was found on the back of a package of Jennie-O ground turkey.
